State Decides to Keep New Traffic Signal on U.S. 98

The Florida Department of Transportation has determined that a permanent signal is warranted at the intersection of County Road 83 and US Highway 98 in Santa Rosa Beach.

The temporary traffic signal on U.S. 98 at the intersection of County Road 83 (Old Blue Mountain Road) in Walton County was permanently activated on March 24. Drivers are advised to use caution when approaching the newly signalized intersection.

The temporary signal will remain in place until a new signal mounted on horizontal mast arms is constructed.

Construction activities are weather dependent and may be delayed or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. Drivers are urged to use caution when approaching the intersections.
