South Walton Entrepreneurs Launch ‘The Sandbox’

Machine2 300x248 South Walton Entrepreneurs Launch The SandboxSo you finally got everyone out on the beach, only to realize that you forgot your sunscreen or sunglasses back in the condo. Or perhaps you took one good look at that perfectly smooth Gulf water and decided that you should’ve bought that inflatable raft at Walmart after all. But now, you certainly don’t want to lose your parking spot, or waste precious beach time battling tourist traffic.

Two Santa Rosa Beach residents — Greg and Lauren Alsobrook — have come up with a clever idea to help with such sandy sorts of situations.

The husband-and-wife entrepreneurs have launched a brand new beach vending machine concept that they call The Sandbox.

The Sandbox is basically a beach shop in a box,” said Alsobrook.

“Our vending machines offer sunscreen, goggles, floats, sunglasses, water toys… basically, anything to make your day at the beach more enjoyable.”

“We’d like to have a few more machines up and running throughout South Walton and along Scenic Highway 30A by next spring.”
