The Rosemary Beach Unleased Mural project and community festival raised $10,000 to benefit Alaqua Unleashed and the Rosemary Beach Foundation. The 6-panel mural was created by nine visual artists (Allison Wickey, Eileen West, Lauren Carvalho, Paul DeDenus, Jane Dunworth, Emily Fossum, Henry Nooe, Kristina Perry, and Amanda Rhodes) from photographs of 92 pets submitted by their owners.
The murals are currently on display at Rosemary Beach St. Augustine Park until February 6, 2012, and will then be transported Alaqua Unleashed at (formally known as the Bark Park) located on J.D. Miller Road in Santa Rosa Beach on 18 acres of county owned land.
The park has recently seen a variety of improvements including a spacious parking area, restroom facility, information center, refreshments, landscaping, and a variety of dog training classes. This premier community space shares a joint mission to provide exercise and recreation for their canines and bring the community together through musical and artistic social venues.
