The Emerald Coast Plein Air Painters exhibition will be held at the Walton County Library in Santa Rosa on November 12th from 9:00 AM until 8:00 PM.  Nowhere else will you see such amazing talent from renowned and award-winning artists such as:

Melody Bogle - With a love for the out of doors and the beautiful waters of the Emerald Coast, one might see Melody Bogle plein air painting along 30A, in the State Parks of North Florida, or along their beautiful shores.

Judy Dewar - For 37 years, Judy Dewar painted Alaskan scenery, Northern Lights, and wildlife.

Lynette Meisen - Lynette Meisen creates paintings on location throughout her local area of Florida’s Northwest corridor drawing inspiration from the gulf shores, lakes, waterways, and wetlands.

Violet Nicklen - Violet Nicklen is an award-winning artist who has been painting en plein air since 2001.

James S. Owen - He enjoys putting his own expression into producing Still Life and Landscapes, but recently is most challenged and rewarded by creating interesting Abstracts.

Marian Pacsuta - Marian Pacsuta captures the world as she sees it.  Be it familial influence, intensive studies with several of today’s’ masters in the art world, including Dan McCaw, Carolyn Anderson and Quang Ho; or simply the innate talent that she has fostered over the years, her unique blend of impressionism and expressionism parlays the beauty and emotion art enthusiasts love.

Rebecca Perrott - After moving to Colorado, her interest in hiking awakened a passion for nature.  Surrounded by the incredible vistas of the Southwest she began plein air painting.  All the elements of painting on location are a process of meditation.

Mara Viksnins - Mara Viksnins draws on impressions from having lived in New York, Texas, the Gulf Coast, and Europe.  While watercolor is her favorite medium, she also enjoys collage and acrylics.  Her favorite subject is the human figure and she loves to portray small children.

The Emerald Coast Plein Air Painters is a group that meets Wednesday mornings to paint and draw outdoors along the coast and the local area from Fort Walton Beach to Rosemary Beach, and locations in Niceville, Freeport, and the along the bay.  Everyone, at any level of proficiency, is welcome to bring their medium of choice and spend a few hours creating in the environment of our beautiful Emerald Coast.  There is no instruction – there is, however, camaraderie, encouragement, inspiration, cheer, and laughter.
