Cottages For Kids Returns to Rosemary Beach

Coming off the heels of a very successful Hurricane Party, the Children’s Volunteer Health Network is bringing back Cottages For Kids this fall in beautiful Rosemary Beach.

“We’ve been excited about our expansion to offer more medical, dental and mental healthcare to children whose family cannot afford those services,” Executive Director Zach Billingsley says.  “Cottages For Kids is a fun event that brings together many local elements to help raise money to fund that very important mission.”

Local builders will create cottages to be showcased in Rosemary Beach.  With a launch party on November 11 at Crabby Steve’s Bar & Gulfside Restaurant in Inlet Beach, the cottages will be on display through November 26.  This year, everyone will have a fair chance to win one of the cottages because instead of an auction, the creative structures will be raffled off.  You do not event need to be present to win.

“Crabby Steve’s is pleased to be hosting the launch party for the cottages for this kids fundraising event.  After a great summer we would like to give something back to this great community, and a very special organization,” says owner Steve Carpenter.  “CVHN is the best opportunity for us to help the local children, and anyone attending the party will have a wonderful time, and have the best view of the beach of 30A.”

“Raffles level the playing field.  Making a $1,000 bid is not as feasible as buying a $5 ticket,” event producer Kevin Boyle points out.  “We want everyone to have an opportunity to donate and wine.  We’re excited to have The Hidden Lantern in Rosemary Beach as a raffle ticket outlet.  And because it’s such a busy travel season, you can buy tickets online, and we’ll announce the winners live and post a video on the CVHN webpage.
