Cottages for Kids

A colorful annual tradition hosted by Children’s Volunteer Health Network (CVHN), Cottages for Kids is a unique fundraising event that helps enhance the lives of local children by providing access to free medical, dental and mental health care to uninsured and under-insured young ones.

To support the cause each year, volunteer builders, students and architects in the area come together to imagine, construct and decorate whimsical playhouse cottages that looked like they’ve popped right out from the pages of a fairytale. The cottages are always wildly imaginative, completely unique, and create a popular attraction for families and kids of all ages.trans Cottages for Kids

The cottages are raffled or auctioned off each year, with all proceeds benefiting area children in dire need.

In fact, to date, CVHN has helped facilitate over 5,900 medical, dental and mental health care appointments, working with over 90 medical, dental and mental health providers.

CVHN Cottages for Kids 1 150x150 Cottages for KidsCottages for Kids typically takes place in November each year, with the playhouses being set up on public display for a few weeks in Rosemary Beach. The event often coincides with another one of of South Walton’s fall traditions, the annual Flutterby Festival, which celebrates the arts and the migration of the Monarch Butterfly along Scenic Highway 30A. Combined, these events make Rosemary Beach a fantastic Fall destination for families.

Our 30A family is a proud sponsor of both CVHN and Cottages for Kids. Click here to visit the official Cottages for Kids website.
